I had been using the SSD for several years. Then I developed a problem. Emergency mode. After that I could not reinstall the OS.

This time I formatted the flash drive to ext 4 using Disks instead of Gparted. There were no problems. I was able to write to the flash drive.

In Windows 10 I formatted the flash drive to ex FAT. I booted back into Ubuntu. I am now able to open a new folder.

First I formatted the flash drive in G Parted. As I have always done, I right clicked the mouse. it did not allow me to make the new folder. Of course my knowledge is limited. I am anxious to learn...

I checked the 64GB flash drive in G Partition. It is formatted in FAT32. How is that possible? I thought that would far exceed the limit.

The iso was downloaded April 25. I will try to disable the floppy drive from the BIOS. For the time being, I will stick with Ubuntu 22.04.

The BIOS does list a Floppy drive. I have not been able to remove it. Good observation!
