    This time I formatted the flash drive to ext 4 using Disks instead of Gparted. There were no problems. I was able to write to the flash drive.

    The iso was downloaded April 25. I will try to disable the floppy drive from the BIOS. For the time being, I will stick with Ubuntu 22.04.
